Ishaku Assures Of Support For NYSC

Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku has assured continuous of support for NYSC and its activities in the state.
The Governor gave the assurance when the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Danjuma Attah and his team visited government house in Jalingo to brief the number one citizen in the state on the activities of corps member posted to the state.
Governor Ishaku  who expressed joy on the visit of the State Coordinator and his team, promised to give NYSC the much needed support required for all its programmes and activities in the state.
The Governor said that despite the dwindling financial situation of the state, it is still committed to ensuring that the scheme in the state is better supported for optimum output.
He noted with satisfaction, the posting policy of the scheme in the state where about 80 per cent of the corps members are sent to teach in school with majority of them serving in rural areas where their services are mostly needed.
Ishaku assured that electrification and renovation of the NYSC permanent orientation camp will soon commence, so also the payment of state allowance to the corps members.
Earlier, the State Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Danjuma  Attah said the visit to the Governor was extremely necessary in order to appreciate him for his support to the scheme in the state especially during the 2016 Batch ‘A’ orientation course.
He said NYSC in the state will continue to give priority to schools and rural areas in its posting of corps members for primary assignments to enable the scheme serve the state better and in line with the Rescue Revolution of the Governor to the state.
