The leadership of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have moved to proffer lasting solution to the incessant clash between farmers and herdsmen.
In a resolution at the end of a closed door meeting between the chairmen and traditional rulers of the six area councils over the weekend stakeholders agreed to end all forms of violence between herdsmen and farmers in FCT.
Chairman of ALGON in FCT, Hon.Joseph Shazhim disclosed that the meeting centred on agriculture, education and youth empowerment with security at the sideline.
Shazhimhowever said security gained prominence, especially the issue of incessant herdsmen and farmers clashes.
Shazhim revealed that each chairman and the traditional ruler has been task to tackle the insecurity from the root in collaboration with security agencies operating in the community.
