Infinix, Jumia tackle smartphone battery curse with Note 3 ON AUGUST 31, 20162:19 AMIN TECHNOLOGYCOMMENTS Smartphone maker, Inifnix Mobility, in partnership with online retailer, Jumia and MTN Nigeria, has launched a new smartphone, the Infinix Note 3 which is aimed at tackling the notorious menace of smartphone short battery lifespan. The Note 3 which features six inches high definition screen and a finger print recognition technology is most reputed for its 4,500mAh battery which can produce up to three hours talk time upon five minutes charge. Inifinix said “the fast charge feature is specially tailored to suit the unique needs of the African market, where customers need fully charged phones at all times to connect with family and friends.” The phone also comes with a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and a water-cooling technology to prevent the battery from over-heating. Speaking at the launch of the phone in Lagos, Regional Country Manager, Inifnix Mobility, Bruno Li said: “We are proud of our latest smartphone, Note 3 and also the partnership with Jumia and MTN second year in a row. We intend to make history with Infinix Note 3’s five minutes fast charge technology and we are sure the product will be welcomed by our users in Nigeria.” Also speaking, Head of Vendor management, Jumia, the exclusive distributor partner, Thomas Simonet said: “Jumia is proud to team up again with Infinix and MTN to unveil the Note 3. More than ever, we want to help our customers to afford top quality product and data and unbeatable prices through an effortless shopping experience.” On his part, General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria, Richard Iweanoge, said: “The launch of this phone is coming at a time we have commenced the roll out of 4G/LTE services in the country. “As such, we are excited about the possibilities that this phone brings to our customers.”
