Tragedy strucked the Old Airport axis of Sokoto metropolis at the weekend when  a man killed his wife,  his pastor’s wife and her only child, as well as another girl.

The ugly incident happened at about 20, 00 hours when Mr Taiwo Adio of old airport area attacked his 43-year-old wife, Mrs Yemisi Adio, with a pestle and killed her in their room.

Mr Taiwo Adio did not stop at that as he went ahead minutes later to kill 10-year-old Benice Adewole and her 14-year-old friend, Esther Badelu in that same room using the pestle.

Taiwo’s cruelty descended on Benice’s mother and a wife of Faith Baptists Church pastor, Mrs Rachael Adewole, who came asking after her daughter and her friend whom she had earlier sent to  give the culprit food.

Mr Taiwo was said to have used same pestle in killing Mrs Racheal Adewole when she entered his room in an effort to know why her daughter and her friend were taking time in returning.

The 42-year-old Mrs Racheal Adewole, was until her death, a teacher with the Nasara Baptist Primary School Bello Way, within  the metropolis.

Sokoto State police public relations officer, Sani Mustapha, confirmed the incident and assured that the suspect had been arrested and investigation was on going at the state CID.
