Adamawa Gov, Cabinet Members Walk to Mark 25 Years Anniversary

To commemorate the silver jubilee of the creation of Adamawa state out of defunct Gongola State, Gov. Muhammadu Bindow, members of his cabinet and citizens of the state have embarked on a six kilometer Peace Walk as parts of activities lined up to mark silver jubilee of the state.
The peace walk which commenced as early as 7:00 on Saturday started at police round about and terminated at Doubeli bye-pass junction where the governor flag-off symbolic monthly sanitation
Adamawa was created out of defunct Gongola state on August 27, 1991.
The Governor while addressing newsmen sued for peaceful coexistence among the diverse people of the state pointing out that his administration needs the support of the people particularly the masses to enable it continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
‘’My administration’s resolve to resuscitate the monthly sanitation exercise is to keep the newly constructed and rehabilitated township roads and drainages in the state clean’’ .
Mallam Ahemed Sajoh Commissioner for Information and Strategy, while speaking said activities line up for the silver jubilee include special prayers, lectures, cultural display and sanitation exercise.
Sajoh who lauded the development stride of the Governor called on the people of the state to reciprocate the good gesture of the administration by offering meaningful advice and prayers to enable the administration scale through.
Dignitaries that participated in the walk included: Deputy Governor, Martins Babale; Secretary to the Government, Dr Umar Bindir; and the Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Dr Moses Zaruwa,Commissoners and permanent secretaries were in attendance
